Conclusion
There are two types of cancer of the lung, non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. Small cell lung cancer is more virulent and spreads faster than non-small cell cancer. There is no single sign of lung cancer. Symptoms of lung cancer include, a cough that doesn't go away, constant chest pain, coughing up blood, shortness of breath, hoarseness, repeated problems with pneumonia, swelling of the neck and face, loss of appetite, and fatigue. Diagnosis is made through imaging studies (x-rays) and biopsies. Treatment depends on the type of lung cancer and includes chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery.
